Freshdesk pricing in 2026: the new prices, and where the free plan went

Freshdesk raised all three plans in 2026 and swapped its free plan for a 6-month program the pricing page never mentions. Here is the current ladder, read from Freshworks' own page on 27 September 2026, and what it adds up to over a year.

Freshdesk plans and prices

Freshdesk plans and prices per agent per month
PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthlyWhat it adds
Growth$19$23Ticketing, automations, 500 AI Agent sessions included once per account.
Pro$55$66Multilingual help desk, custom dashboards, intelligent routing, multiple SLA policies, Copilot available.
Enterprise$89$107Skill-based routing, sandbox, audit logs and AI insights.

Prices are in US dollars per agent per month, read from Freshworks’ Freshdesk pricing page on 27 September 2026. Yearly billing saves about 17% against monthly. The trial gives you 14 days of Enterprise. That is the top of the ladder, so the skill-based routing, sandbox and audit logs you try first are $89-a-seat features, none of them on Growth.

What Freshdesk costs per year

What Freshdesk costs per year on yearly billing, by team size
Plan, per year1 person3 people10 people
Freshdesk Growth$228$684$2,280
Freshdesk Pro$660$1,980$6,600
Freshdesk Enterprise$1,068$3,204$10,680
Moorline$108One person onlyOne person only

The step that surprises people is Growth to Pro, 2.9 times the seat. Pro is where intelligent routing, multiple SLA policies and the multilingual help desk live, and it is the first plan Copilot can be added to. For three agents, Growth is $684 a year and Pro $1,980; give all three Copilot and it is $3,024.

The free program: 2 agents, 6 months, not on the pricing page

A free program for up to 2 agents for the first 6 months. It is not on the pricing page; you switch to it from inside an account, under plans and billing.

The limit that matters is the calendar, not a feature list. It is a generous way to try a help desk with real customers, and it has an end date. After the 6 months, the cheapest paid seat is Growth at $19 a month on yearly billing, so plan the switch before the program runs out rather than after.

Why so many roundups still say “Freshdesk Free”: The permanent free plan ended on 9 June 2025, replaced by the 6-month free program. An article recommending it is describing a plan that no longer exists in that form.

Add-ons and AI costs

  • Freddy AI Copilot: $29 per agent a month on annual billing, $35 monthly, Pro and Enterprise only.
  • Extra AI Agent sessions: $49 per 100. An email session is a 72-hour window.
  • Day passes for occasional agents: $2 to $12 depending on plan.

A worked example. Say the AI Agent handles 200 email sessions a month. The 500 sessions that come with the account last 2.5 months, because they are included once, not every month. From then on, 200 sessions a month is $98 a month on top of the seats. That makes the AI Agent a running cost that tracks your support volume, which is worth putting in the budget before the included sessions are gone.

What Growth leaves out

Growth has no multilingual support, no custom dashboards, no intelligent routing, a single SLA policy and no Copilot.

For a team working in one language with one response-time promise, none of that is missing, and Growth is a full ticketing help desk with automations included. The gaps appear with a second language, a second SLA, or a wish for Copilot, and Copilot is the one that decides it: it is sold on Pro and Enterprise only, so the cheapest seat with it is $84 a month, not the $48 that Growth plus Copilot would suggest.

Why older articles quote lower prices. Prices rose in 2026: Growth from $15 to $19, Pro from $49 to $55 and Enterprise from $79 to $89 on annual billing. Freshworks’ own page description still says "starts at $15". Growth rose by 27%, which for a team of three is $144 more a year.

Is Freshdesk worth it for one person?

Freshdesk is a conventional ticketing help desk with a low entry price and a deep feature list above it, and the free program lets you run it on real customers for months before paying anything. For a small team that wants tickets, it is an easy place to start.

For one person, the free program ends and what follows is a seat priced for a team, with your address forwarded into Freshdesk’s inbox. Moorline is built for the solo case instead: a native Mac app at $9 a month that works on the mailbox you already have and replies from your own address. The detailed comparison is in the Freshdesk alternative for one support person.

Questions people ask about Freshdesk pricing

How much does Freshdesk cost per agent?

Growth is $19 per agent per month billed yearly or $23 billed monthly, Pro is $55 or $66, and Enterprise is $89 or $107. Every plan is priced per agent, so a team of three on Growth pays $684 a year.

Is Freshdesk free?

Not permanently any more. The free plan ended on 9 June 2025. What replaced it is a free program for up to 2 agents for the first 6 months, and it is not shown on the pricing page: you switch to it from inside an account, under plans and billing.

Did Freshdesk raise its prices?

Yes, in 2026. On yearly billing Growth went from $15 to $19, Pro from $49 to $55 and Enterprise from $79 to $89 per agent a month. Freshworks' own page description still says "starts at $15", which is why search results and older reviews disagree with the pricing page.

How much does Freddy AI cost?

It comes in two parts. Freddy AI Copilot is $29 per agent a month billed yearly or $35 monthly, on Pro and Enterprise only. The AI Agent comes with 500 sessions, included once per account rather than each month, and then costs $49 per 100 sessions, where an email session is a 72-hour window.

Is Freshdesk cheaper than Zendesk?

At the first two rungs they match on yearly billing: Freshdesk Growth is $19 against Zendesk Support Team at $19, and Freshdesk Pro $55 against Zendesk Suite Team at $55. Billed monthly, Growth is $23 against $25. Freshdesk is clearly cheaper at the top, $89 for Enterprise against $115 for Suite Professional, and it has the 6-month free program where Zendesk has only a trial.
