Front pricing: how the seat and channel limits choose your plan

Prices are in US dollars per seat per month, read from Front’s pricing page on 27 September 2026. Yearly billing takes 29% off Starter and 24% off Professional, and Enterprise has no monthly option at all. The trial is 14 days with Professional features, no card needed. No free plan.

What Front costs per year

The jump that catches people is not a feature but a headcount. Starter holds 10 seats, so a full Starter team pays $3,000 a year, and one more hire moves all 11 people to Professional at $8,580. The same thing happens at any size the day you add a second kind of channel: Starter covers one channel type, so a team of three that wants two goes from $900 to $2,340.

Add-ons and AI costs

• Copilot $20 per seat a month; Smart QA $20; Smart CSAT $10.
• Autopilot, charged per conversation: $0.05 to triage, $0.39 per handoff, $0.89 per resolution.
• WhatsApp: Meta’s fees plus 20%.

A worked example. A team of 3 on Professional adds Copilot, and in a month Autopilot resolves 150 conversations and hands 50 more to a person. Seats are $195, Copilot $60, resolutions $133.50 and handoffs $19.50: $408 for the month, before any triage charges. The seat lines stay put; the Autopilot lines follow your volume, so a busy month costs more than a quiet one.

What Starter leaves out, and when Enterprise pays for itself

Starter caps the team at 10 seats and one channel type, and leaves out macros, advanced analytics, extra workspaces and SSO.

For a small team on email alone, that list is mostly things you would not miss yet. Macros and extra workspaces start to matter as the team and its rules grow, and SSO when someone in IT asks for it. Professional is the plan most reviews describe when they say “Front”.

Enterprise is worth pricing even if you do not think you need it. It includes Copilot, Smart QA and Smart CSAT. Professional with Copilot and Smart QA at list price is already $105 a seat, and $115 with Smart CSAT as well; Enterprise is $105 with all three included. The catch is that Enterprise is billed yearly only, so it is a commitment rather than a switch.

If an older article quotes different plans: Front replaced its Starter $19, Growth $59 and Scale $99 line-up with Starter, Professional and Enterprise in 2026. Anything that mentions Growth or Scale describes the old line-up.

Is Front worth it for one person?

Front is the best tool there is for several people working one inbox: drafting a reply together, commenting before it goes out, assigning it to whoever should own it. That is what the seat price pays for. For one person answering their own customers, every one of those features has nobody on the other end, and a single Starter seat is still $300 a year, or $780 once you need a second channel.
