Zendesk pricing: Support, Suite, and what each agent really costs

Zendesk sells two things under one name: Support Team for email ticketing, and the Suite that most comparisons actually mean. Here is every tier of both, plus the AI charges on top, checked against Zendesk's own pricing page on 27 September 2026.

Zendesk plans and prices

Zendesk plans and prices per agent per month
PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthlyWhat it adds
Support Team$19$25Email ticketing only, 5 AI resolutions per agent a month. No messaging or live chat.
Suite Team$55$69Messaging and live chat, AI agents, telephony and omnichannel routing.
Suite Professional$115$149SLAs, skills-based routing, IVR, AI writing tools, 10 AI resolutions per agent a month.
Suite EnterpriseSales onlySales onlySold through sales, with Copilot included. No public price.

Prices are in US dollars per agent per month, read from Zendesk’s pricing page on 27 September 2026. Yearly billing saves 20% to 24% against monthly. Suite Enterprise is quoted through sales, so it has no row in the yearly totals below. Trial: 14 days of Suite Professional with Copilot. No free plan. That means the version you evaluate is the $165-a-seat configuration, not the $19 one.

What Zendesk costs per year

What Zendesk costs per year on yearly billing, by team size
Plan, per year1 person3 people10 people
Zendesk Support Team$228$684$2,280
Zendesk Suite Team$660$1,980$6,600
Zendesk Suite Professional$1,380$4,140$13,800
Moorline$108One person onlyOne person only

The jump that catches people is Support Team to Suite Team, and it is really a jump between two products. The $19 seat most roundups lead with is ticketing on its own. The messaging, live chat and AI agents most people mean when they say “Zendesk” are in the Suite, at 2.9 times the price. For three agents, that is $684 a year against $1,980.

Add-ons and AI costs

  • Copilot: $50 per agent a month on annual billing, Suite Professional and up only.
  • AI resolutions past the included ones: $1.50 each committed, $2.00 pay as you go.
  • Workforce engagement bundle $50, contact centre $83, per agent a month.

A worked example. A team of 3 agents on Suite Professional has 30 AI resolutions included a month, 10 per agent. Say the AI agent resolves 200 conversations a month. 170 of those are past the allowance, which is $340 pay as you go or $255 at the committed rate, on top of $345 of seats. The allowance grows with the number of agents, not with the number of customers, so a small team with a busy product is the case it covers least.

Support Team or Suite: what the entry plan leaves out

Support Team has no messaging or live chat, no AI agents, no telephony, no SLAs and a single ticket form.

If every customer reaches you by email and one ticket form is enough, those are not gaps, and Support Team is a capable ticketing tool at a fair price. They start to matter the day you add a chat widget, a phone line or a promised response time, and each of those moves you into the Suite.

Copilot is the second fork. It is sold on Suite Professional and up only, so the cheapest way to get it is $115 plus $50, or $165 per agent a month on yearly billing. For a single agent, that is $1,980 a year.

Why older articles show other plans. Suite Growth has disappeared from the public pricing page, and Suite Enterprise no longer shows a price. A comparison that prices Suite Growth, or puts a number on Enterprise, was written before that change.

Is Zendesk worth it for one person?

Zendesk is built to run a support department: ticketing, routing, SLAs, reporting and voice, at the scale where those decide whether customers get answered at all. Few tools do it as thoroughly, and a team that needs it should not be choosing on seat price.

One person has nobody to route to and no colleague to hold to an SLA. Support Team at $19 is honest value for ticketing, but it still means forwarding your address into Zendesk and working from a browser tab. Moorline takes the other route: it reads the mailbox you already have and replies from your own address, as a native Mac app at $9 a month. The full side-by-side is in the Zendesk alternative for solo founders comparison.

Questions people ask about Zendesk pricing

How much does Zendesk cost per agent per month?

On yearly billing, Support Team is $19 per agent per month, Suite Team $55 and Suite Professional $115. Billed monthly they are $25, $69 and $149. Suite Enterprise is sold through sales with no public price. Support Team is email ticketing only, so the Zendesk with messaging and live chat starts at Suite Team.

Does Zendesk have a free plan?

No. There is a 14-day trial of Suite Professional with Copilot, which is the $115 plan with the $50 add-on: $165 per agent a month on yearly billing. It is worth knowing that before the trial ends, because the entry plan is $19 and has far less in it.

How much does Zendesk AI cost?

There are two charges. Copilot is $50 per agent a month on yearly billing, sold on Suite Professional and up only, and included in Suite Enterprise. AI resolutions are counted separately: Support Team includes 5 per agent a month and Suite Professional 10, and each one past that costs $1.50 on a committed plan or $2.00 pay as you go.

Is Zendesk more expensive than Freshdesk?

Not at the bottom of the ladder. On yearly billing Zendesk Support Team is $19 per agent against Freshdesk Growth at $19, and Zendesk Suite Team is $55 against Freshdesk Pro at $55. The gap opens at the top, where Suite Professional is $115 and Freshdesk Enterprise $89. Freshdesk also has a free program for up to 2 agents for the first 6 months; Zendesk has only the trial.

Is there a Zendesk app for Mac?

No. Zendesk is web only, so on a Mac it lives in a browser tab. If a native Mac app matters to you, Moorline is one, for macOS 15 or later, though it is built for one person answering their own customers rather than for a support team.
